Campus Groningen (The Netherlands) faces the task of strong, further growth, building on the success of recent years. The campus organization has drawn up a vision plan for this. This plan focuses on three lines: community building, integrated area management and campus services. Integral area management includes the question of which elements determine the success of a campus. Campus Groningen commissioned research into trends and success factors based on the experiences of partners within the Innovation Area Development Partnership (IADP) and international literature.
In addition, specific attention was paid to management aspects. One of the questions was whether the current approach suffices, given the recent growth and ambitions. Numerous management aspects were addressed, such as admission policy, the package of facilities to be offered, stricter coordination between the partners involved in acquisition and the issuance of land and the provision of information to established companies and institutions.
