IADP-Partner Arup provided innovative structural engineering design for the campus’ first incubator for startup companies in the life sciences.
The new building serves as the hub for functional genomics and other interdisciplinary activities on campus, housing research laboratories for basic cell biology, biomedical engineering, biophysics, plant genomics, animal biology, biological statistics and computational biology. The design includes state-of-the-art communication technology providing links to businesses and other institutions throughout New York State.

This building brings together researchers and students from a diverse range of disciplines, including physical sciences, engineering and computational sciences facilitating research and fostering problem-solving in the areas of human medicine, veterinary science, sustainable agriculture and environmental remediation.
